Job Title Production Supervisor (or Manufacturing Supervisor) Position Summary The Production Supervisor manages the daily activities of the production floor to ensure smooth, safe, and efficient manufacturing. This role coordinates shift schedules, allocates manpower, monitors key performance indicators (KPIs), and enforces quality and safety regulations. Key Responsibilities Operations & Scheduling: Plan, organize, and execute daily and weekly production schedules to meet delivery and volume targets. Team Leadership: Supervise, train, coach, and evaluate production staff; manage attendance, shifts, and daily task assignments. Safety & Compliance: Enforce workplace safety guidelines (such as OSHA or local standards), standard operating procedures (SOPs), and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP). Quality Control: Monitor production outputs against specifications to minimize waste, defects, and rework. Equipment & Maintenance: Coordinate routine machine checks, report equipment malfunctions, and assist with preventive maintenance programs. Problem-Solving & Continuous Improvement: Troubleshoot floor issues, identify bottlenecks, and support Lean/Kaizen or 5S improvement initiatives. Reporting: Maintain production logs, shift reports, inventory records, and KPI trackers for senior management.
