Key Responsibilities • Install Systems: Run wiring, install circuit breakers, lighting fixtures, outlets, and electrical equipment based on technical blueprints and schematics. • Troubleshoot & Repair: Identify and locate electrical faults, defects, or malfunctions using testing devices (such as voltmeters and ammeters) and repair or replace damaged parts. • Inspect & Maintain: Perform routine maintenance and safety inspections on electrical panels, transformers, and distribution components. • Read Blueprints: Interpret technical diagrams, floor plans, and architectural schematics to map out optimal component and wiring placement. • Code Compliance: Follow all safety protocols, wear required personal protective equipment (PPE), and ensure adherence to local and national electrical standards. • Documentation & Communication: Coordinate with project managers, clients, or team members, keep inventory records, and log maintenance tasks. Qualifications & Requirements • Education: High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a technical or vocational school program in electrical systems is preferred. • Training: Completion of a formal 4- or 5-year electrician apprenticeship program. • Licensing: Valid state or local electrician license/certification. • Experience: Proven field experience working on residential, commercial, or industrial electrical systems.
