An AGM / DGM - HR & IR (Assistant General Manager / Deputy General Manager - Human Resources and Industrial Relations) for a Rolling Mill / Steel Plant leads all plant-level human resources, labor relations, statutory compliance, and general administration functions. Role Overview & Profile • Designation: Assistant General Manager (AGM) / Deputy General Manager (DGM) - HR & IR • Industry: Steel / Metal / Iron / Rolling Mill (Hot Rolling, TMT, or Wire Rod manufacturing) • Experience Required: Typically 15 to 20 years in plant-level HR and Industrial Relations within a heavy manufacturing or process industry. • Qualification: MBA / MMS / MPM / PGDM in HR / Industrial Relations or BBA / BMS. • Location Focus: Industrial hubs like Raipur (Chhattisgarh), Jharkhand, or Odisha. Key Responsibilities (KRAs) 1. Industrial Relations & Contract Labour Management (IR & CLRM) [70% Focus in Plant Setups] • Maintain peaceful and harmonious relations with plant trade unions, worker committees, and employee representatives. • Lead wage settlements, long-term agreements (LTAs), and early dispute resolution to ensure zero man-days lost to strikes or stoppages. • Manage contract labor deployment, contractor licensing, wage disbursement, and statutory compliance (PF, ESI). • Handle disciplinary matters, domestic enquiries, charge sheets, and grievance redressal.
