About this role
An Additional General Manager (AGM) for Electrical and Instrumentation (E&I) leads the complete electrical, automation, and control systems for heavy industries like steel, power, or manufacturing.
Key Responsibilities
Plant Reliability: Lead E&I maintenance strategies across power plants, utilities, and manufacturing units to ensure high uptime.
Power Distribution: Manage high-tension (HT) and extra-high-voltage (EHV) switchyards, transformers, and grid connections.
Project Execution: Oversee electrical engineering, vendor selection, testing, and commissioning for expansion projects.
Safety & Compliance: Ensure strict adherence to electrical safety regulations and statutory statutory compliance.
Team & Budget Management: Handle departmental budgeting, spare parts inventory, and manpower planning.
Required skills
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or Instrumentation. Experience: 10 to 15 years of hands-on leadership experience in heavy process industries like steel plants or power plants. Core Skills: High-voltage power distribution, industrial automation (PLC/DCS), project management, and team leadership
