About this role
An Assistant Electrician supports lead electricians by installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical wiring, fixtures, and systems. Key duties include gathering tools, laying conduits, and testing circuits.
Key Responsibilities
Installation Support: Help run wires, set up conduits, and mount electrical panels or fixtures under supervision.
Maintenance & Testing: Perform routine checks and use basic testing tools to check circuit continuity and voltage.
Site Preparation: Gather materials, organize tools, and keep the work area safe and clean.
Troubleshooting Help: Assist in finding faulty wiring or broken components and handing tools during repairs.
Required skills
Education: High school diploma or basic technical training/ITI certificate in electrical trades. Skills: Basic knowledge of electrical safety codes, reading simple blueprints, and using hand tools. Physical Fitness: Ability to lift heavy items, stand for long periods, and work safely in tight spaces or at heights.
