Junior Electrician - Maintenance

ob Title: Junior Electrician – Maintenance Department: Electrical Maintenance Industry: Fabrication / Steel / Manufacturing Plant Job Responsibilities: Carry out routine electrical maintenance of plant machinery and equipment. Assist in breakdown, preventive, and corrective maintenance activities. Troubleshoot electrical faults in motors, control panels, starters, contactors, relays, and switches. Check and maintain 3-phase motors, cables, MCC panels, DBs, lighting systems, and electrical connections. Assist senior electricians in motor installation, cable laying, termination, and panel maintenance. Perform routine inspection of electrical equipment and identify potential faults. Check motor current, voltage, insulation, and basic electrical parameters. Maintain proper earthing and electrical safety systems. Support maintenance during plant shutdowns and equipment servicing. Maintain electrical tools, spare parts, and maintenance records. Follow LOTO (Lockout/Tagout), PPE, permit-to-work, and other plant safety procedures. Coordinate with mechanical and production teams during equipment breakdowns. Attend emergency electrical breakdowns to minimize production downtime. Required Qualification: ITI – Electrician / Diploma in Electrical Engineering. Basic knowledge of industrial electrical systems. Knowledge of electrical safety and troubleshooting. Experience: 0–3 years of experience in industrial electrical maintenance. Fresh ITI candidates with good practical knowledge may also be considered.
