Job Title: Senior Electrician – Maintenance Department: Electrical Maintenance Industry: Fabrication / Steel / Manufacturing Plant Job Responsibilities: Lead day-to-day electrical maintenance activities for the fabrication/production plant. Handle preventive, predictive, corrective, and breakdown maintenance of electrical equipment. Troubleshoot and repair HT/LT panels, MCCs, PCCs, DBs, motors, starters, contactors, relays, VFDs, control circuits, and industrial lighting. Maintain and troubleshoot electrical systems of welding machines, cutting machines, cranes, compressors, hydraulic equipment, conveyors, pumps, and other plant machinery. Monitor motor health, current, voltage, insulation resistance, and earthing. Perform cable laying, glanding, termination, testing, and electrical equipment installation. Supervise junior electricians, technicians, and contract manpower. Plan and execute preventive-maintenance schedules to reduce breakdowns and production downtime. Attend emergency breakdowns and identify the root cause of electrical failures. Coordinate with mechanical, production, and instrumentation teams during breakdown and maintenance activities. Maintain electrical spares, tools, maintenance checklists, breakdown reports, and equipment history. Assist in electrical shutdown maintenance, equipment installation, commissioning, and modification work. Ensure proper earthing, electrical protection, cable management, and panel housekeeping. Strictly follow LOTO, Permit to Work, PPE, and plant electrical safety procedures. Ensure compliance with company safety standards and report unsafe electrical conditions. Guide the team in safe and efficient maintenance practices. Qualification: ITI – Electrician / Diploma in Electrical Engineering preferred. Experience: 5–10 years of industrial electrical maintenance experience, preferably in steel, fabrication, heavy engineering, or manufacturing plants.
