MANAGER STRUCTURE ROLLING MILL

A Structure Rolling Mill Manager directs daily plant operations, production goals, and equipment maintenance to manufacture structural steel products like channels, angles, and beams safely and efficiently.Key ResponsibilitiesProduction Management: Direct shift operations to meet targets for structural steel output, length, and profile accuracy while reducing cobbles (metal jams) and scrap.Quality Control: Inspect finished structural sections for surface flaws, straightness, and precise dimensional tolerances.Equipment Maintenance: Coordinate with maintenance teams for upkeep on reheating furnaces, mill stands, roller guides, and shearing units.Safety Enforcement: Maintain strict compliance with health, safety, and environmental rules, including lockout/tagout (LOTO) protocols and proper personal protective equipment usage.Team Leadership: Train, schedule, and supervise mill operators and shift crews to foster a productive work environment.Requirements and QualificationsEducation: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Metallurgical Engineering.Experience: 8 to 15 years of hands-on plant experience in a structural steel or hot rolling mill environment.
