About this role
A Railway Liaison Officer / Coordinator manages communication and statutory coordination between manufacturing/infrastructure companies and railway authorities (such as the Railway Board, RDSO, RITES, or zonal divisions) to ensure smooth approvals, inspections, and project clearances
Key Responsibilities
Authority Coordination: Act as the primary point of contact for railway inspecting officials, RDSO (Research Designs and Standards Organisation), and third-party inspectors during plant visits or audits.
Inspection & Quality Compliance: Manage stages of material/product inspections, ensure alignment with IS/RDSO specifications, and handle Quality Assurance Plan (QAP) records.
Documentation & Licensing: Prepare and maintain inspection call letters, material test certificates (MTCs), compliance reports, and vendor registration files.
Project & Siding Clearances: Obtain timely project approvals, NOCs, track clearances, and manage utility or operational coordination (such as rake placement and turnaround optimization).
Required skills
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (B.E./B.Tech) or relevant technical/commercial background. Experience: 3 to 8 years of experience in industrial liaison, quality coordination, or dealing with railway/infrastructure projects. Knowledge: Familiarity with Indian Railways standards, RDSO guidelines, and statutory approval processes. Soft Skills: Strong negotiation, multi-stakeholder management, and professional communication abilities
