TURBINE OPERATOR

A turbine operator controls, monitors, and maintains steam, gas, or hydro turbines and auxiliary equipment to generate power safely and efficiently.Key ResponsibilitiesMonitoring Systems: Observe gauges, dials, switches, and DCS panels to track temperature, pressure, vibration, and output.Operation Control: Execute safe start-up, shutdown, and load adjustments based on electricity demand or plant instructions.Maintenance & Inspection: Conduct routine field checks, lubricate moving parts, and perform minor repairs like tightening joints.Troubleshooting: Identify operational abnormalities, address equipment malfunctions, and report major issues to the shift supervisor.Logging Data: Maintain accurate logs of meter readings, generation output, and maintenance activities.Requirements & QualificationsEducation: High school diploma with vocational training or an associate/diploma degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.Experience: Prior experience operating industrial machinery or working in a power plant or manufacturing environment.
