HEAD FOR COAL WASHERY

A Coal Washery Head (or Operation/Cluster Head) manages the overall operations, maintenance, and financial performance of a coal beneficiation plant. They are responsible for processing raw coal efficiently to meet specific size and quality standards while ensuring regulatory compliance, safety, and optimal utilization of resources. Key Performance Areas & Duties 1. Production & Operations Management Lead washery, Coal Handling Plant (CHP), and heavy machinery operations to maximize plant efficiency. Ensure production of high-quality and specified quantities of washed coal (monitoring ash, moisture, and size) per client requirements. Coordinate with mining and logistics teams to maintain consistent feed rates and supply chains. 2. Maintenance & Resource Management Implement predictive and preventive maintenance schedules for all plant equipment. Prepare and monitor Capex and revenue budgets, controlling inventory, spare parts, and consumable costs. Optimize plant throughput and reduce power/water consumption per ton of processed coal. 3. Quality Control & Safety Compliance Oversee laboratory testing (proximate/ultimate analysis) to verify washability and reject rates. Ensure strict adherence to environmental laws, pollution control boards (e.g., CGPCB), and mining safety regulations. Manage electrical, mechanical, and environmental safety protocols.
