A Plant Head for a Rolling Mill leads all daily production, safety, maintenance, and quality operations to hit output and profit goals.Job PurposeTo manage overall rolling mill performance, maximize machine availability, increase metal yield, control power and consumable costs, and keep a safe working environment.Key ResponsibilitiesProduction Management: Plan and execute daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules for TMT bars or hot-rolled coils.Yield Improvement: Track rolling yields, minimize crop losses and waste, and improve overall metal recovery.Cost & Energy Control: Monitor specific power consumption (kWh/MT) and optimize the usage of rolls, guides, bearings, and lubricants.Maintenance Coordination: Work with electrical and mechanical teams on preventive upkeep to lower idle time and equipment breakdowns.Quality Assurance: Ensure finished steel meets national and international standards (like BIS/IS) while reducing rejections and reworks.Safety & Compliance: Enforce strict health, safety, and environmental (HSE) rules across the shop floor
