A Senior Mechanical Engineer for General Maintenance leads the upkeep, troubleshooting, and reliability of mechanical assets, rotating/static equipment, and plant infrastructure.Role OverviewPosition: Senior Mechanical Engineer - General MaintenanceDepartment: Plant Operations / Maintenance & ReliabilityCore Focus: Ensuring maximum equipment uptime, safety compliance, and cost control through strategic maintenance management.Key ResponsibilitiesMaintenance Strategy: Develop, execute, and optimize preventive (PM) and predictive (PdM) maintenance programs for static and rotating equipment (pumps, compressors, conveyors, piping).Team & Contractor Supervision: Lead in-house maintenance technicians and oversee external contractors, ensuring adherence to safety and work permit systems.Troubleshooting & Root Cause Analysis: Diagnose complex mechanical failures and implement long-term corrective actions to eliminate repeat breakdowns ("bad actors").Inventory & Budget Control: Manage critical spare parts inventory, track maintenance expenses, and assist in planning the annual departmental budget.Compliance & Documentation: Maintain accurate equipment history logs, manage work orders via CMMS platforms (like SAP PM or Maximo), and enforce HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) regulations
Required skills
