Position: Assistant General Manager (AGM) – Purchase
Department: Sourcing, Procurement, and Supply Chain Management

Key Responsibilities
Strategic Sourcing & Procurement
Lead end-to-end procurement of raw materials, capital goods, spares, and services.
Develop and execute strategic sourcing plans to align with company growth and production goals.
Monitor global and local market trends to forecast price changes and adjust sourcing strategies.
Vendor Management & Negotiation
Identify, evaluate, and onboard reliable new suppliers and alternate vendors.
Conduct high-level commercial negotiations for pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules.
Conduct regular vendor performance reviews to ensure quality, cost-effectiveness, and timely delivery.
Cost Optimization & Inventory Control
Drive cost-saving initiatives, supplier consolidation, and value-engineering projects.
Monitor inventory levels, safety stock, and lead times to prevent production delays or overstocking.
Cross-Functional Coordination & Compliance
Coordinate closely with production, quality control, finance, and logistics teams.
Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies, tax laws, and ethical standards.
Maintain data integrity using ERP/SAP systems and prepare daily/monthly MIS (Management Information System) reports.
Required skills
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (B.Tech) or Business, plus a Master’s degree or PGDM in Supply Chain Management, Operations, or Materials Management. Experience: 12 to 18 years of relevant experience in industrial procurement, strategic sourcing, or supply chain, with at least 4–5 years in a senior management role. Technical Skills: Hands-on experience with SAP MM or equivalent ERP procurement modules, advanced Excel, and data analytics. Core Competencies: Strong leadership, crisp communication, high-level negotiation tactics, and acute problem-solving abilities.
