They design manufacturing workflows, select appropriate materials, ensure strict quality and safety compliance, and troubleshoot shop-floor issues to maximize production efficiency.Key ResponsibilitiesProcess Design & Optimization: Develop detailed manufacturing plans, sequencing, and tooling requirements to reduce lead times and improve throughput.Quality & Safety Management: Ensure all fabricated outputs meet industry standards, codes (such as ISO 9001), and safety regulations, including proper PPE usage.Technical Support & Troubleshooting: Provide rapid solutions to mechanical integration challenges and resolve production delays or equipment breakdowns.Cross-Functional Collaboration: Act as a technical liaison between fabricators, project managers, quality teams, and procurement vendors.Documentation & Administration: Maintain accurate inspection reports, weld maps, operating specifications, and material inventory records
Required skills
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or Industrial Engineering.Experience: 2 to 5 years of hands-on experience in a heavy manufacturing, welding, or fabrication environment.Technical Skills:Proficiency in CAD software for 3D modeling and 2D technical drawings.Deep knowledge of cutting, forming, and welding processes (MIG, TIG, ARC).Familiarity with Lean manufacturing or Six Sigma optimization techniques.
