About this role
Maintain and troubleshoot electrical equipment and machinery in the Ferro plant.
Perform preventive and breakdown maintenance of motors, pumps, panels, cables and electrical systems.
Handle MCC/PCC panels, contactors, relays, starters, transformers and VFDs.
Identify and rectify electrical faults to minimize machine downtime.
Carry out electrical wiring, cable termination and control-panel maintenance.
Conduct routine inspection of electrical equipment and identify potential faults.
Follow electrical safety procedures, LOTO and permit-to-work requirements.
Maintain electrical tools, equipment and maintenance records.
Coordinate with production and maintenance teams during breakdowns.
Support installation and commissioning of electrical equipment.
Required skills
Industrial electrical maintenance and troubleshooting. Knowledge of motors, starters, contactors and relays. MCC/PCC panel operation and maintenance. Basic knowledge of PLC and VFD. Cable laying, termination and electrical wiring. Ability to read basic electrical drawings. Knowledge of electrical safety and LOTO. Good problem-solving and teamwork skills.
Good to have
Ferro Alloy / Steel Plant electrical maintenance experience. Strong breakdown troubleshooting skills. Motor and control-panel maintenance. PLC/VFD troubleshooting knowledge. Preventive maintenance knowledge. Electrical safety and LOTO compliance. Good discipline and shift-working ability. Team coordination and problem-solving skills.
