About this role
Responsible for managing and supervising the day-to-day operation of the Wire Drawing Mill (WDM) to achieve production, quality, safety, and productivity targets. Ensure proper machine operation, process parameter control, die selection, lubrication, cooling, and product dimensional accuracy. Monitor production, yield, rejection, downtime, and consumable consumption. Coordinate with Maintenance, Quality, Stores, and Production departments for smooth operation and timely resolution of process and equipment issues. Manage shift manpower, maintain production and operational records, ensure compliance with safety and 5S standards, and drive continuous improvement in productivity, quality, and cost reduction.
Required skills
Relevant experience in rolling mill / wire drawing / steel plant operations. Good knowledge of wire drawing processes, machine operation, dies, lubrication, cooling, and quality control. Ability to manage manpower and production activities independently. Knowledge of 5S, TPM, safety, quality systems, and basic production KPIs. Good problem-solving, communication, leadership, and decision-making skills. Working knowledge of MS Excel and production reporting systems. Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

Maintain required quality standards for wire diameter, surface finish, mechanical properties, dimensional accuracy, and other product specifications.
