About this role
Responsible for safe and efficient operation of JCB/heavy equipment while supporting commercial operations, fleet management, vehicle movement, dispatch, and vigilance activities. The role involves monitoring fleet and automobile operations, ensuring proper utilization of vehicles and equipment, preventing unauthorized use or loss, maintaining operational records, and coordinating with drivers, transporters, workshop, security, and commercial teams.
Required skills
Operate JCB and other assigned heavy equipment safely and efficiently. Carry out loading, unloading, material handling, excavation, shifting, and yard activities as required. Conduct pre-operation checks of JCB, including fuel, hydraulic system, tyres, engine oil, brakes, lights, and other critical components. Report equipment breakdowns, abnormal noise, leakage, damage, or maintenance requirements immediately. Ensure proper parking and safe handling of the equipment after completion of work. Maintain basic operating and fuel-consumption records.
Good to have
Proficient in safe and efficient JCB/heavy equipment operation. Knowledge of automobile logistics, fleet dispatch, and yard management. Good understanding of vehicle loading, unloading, parking, and movement procedures. Ability to coordinate with drivers, transporters, workshop, and logistics teams. Basic knowledge of fleet documentation, trip sheets, dispatch records, and vehicle tracking. Strong awareness of workplace and equipment safety procedures. Basic knowledge of JCB/equipment inspection and routine maintenance requirements.
