About this role
Plan and schedule raw material requirements as per production targets.
Prepare daily, weekly and monthly RM consumption and requirement plans.
Monitor availability of Iron Ore, Coal, Dolomite, Limestone and other raw materials.
Coordinate with Purchase, Stores, Production, Quality and Logistics teams.
Maintain optimum RM inventory and avoid shortages or excess stock.
Monitor actual consumption against planned consumption and identify variances.
Prepare RM stock, consumption, requirement and MIS reports.
Track material receipts, stock movement and consumption.
Support production planning based on RM availability.
Maintain proper records of RM planning, stock and consumption.
Identify potential material shortages and coordinate for timely replenishment.
Ensure planning activities follow company procedures and production requirements.
Required skills
Strong knowledge of Raw Material Planning & Inventory Management Experience in Steel / DRI / Sponge Iron industry preferred Knowledge of Iron Ore, Coal, Dolomite, Limestone and other RM Strong Excel / MIS reporting skills Knowledge of ERP/SAP for material planning and inventory Good analytical and data interpretation skills RM consumption and stock reconciliation Production planning and coordination skills Strong communication and cross-functional coordination Ability to monitor stock and consumption trends Good problem-solving and decision-making skills Attention to detail and accuracy Ability to work under production deadlines and in shifts when required
