About this role
Supervise daily vehicle maintenance and workshop operations.
Manage servicing, repair and preventive maintenance of company vehicles.
Inspect vehicles and identify mechanical/electrical issues.
Allocate work to mechanics, technicians and helpers.
Monitor repair quality, turnaround time and vehicle availability.
Maintain records of vehicle servicing, repairs, breakdowns and spare parts.
Coordinate with vendors/workshops for major repairs and services.
Ensure timely preventive maintenance as per schedule.
Monitor fuel consumption, vehicle performance and maintenance costs.
Ensure availability and proper use of tools, equipment and spare parts.
Handle breakdown and emergency vehicle maintenance.
Ensure compliance with safety procedures and workshop standards.
Prepare daily/weekly vehicle maintenance reports.
Required skills
Strong knowledge of automobile maintenance and repair Knowledge of engine, transmission, brakes, suspension and electrical systems Team handling and work allocation Breakdown troubleshooting Preventive maintenance planning Spare parts and inventory management Vendor/workshop coordination Good documentation and reporting skills Basic MS Excel knowledge Strong communication and problem-solving skills Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple vehicles.
