About this role
The Tractor Operator will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of tractors and tractor-trolley attachments for material transportation, internal movement, housekeeping, and other plant-related activities.
Required skills
Strictly follow JCB operating procedures, SOPs, and plant safety rules. Wear mandatory PPE such as safety helmet, safety shoes, reflective jacket, gloves, and other site-required PPE. Conduct a pre-start inspection before every shift. Never operate the machine if a critical safety defect is identified. Do not exceed the machine's rated capacity. Maintain safe distance from people and moving vehicles. Never allow persons to stand under the raised bucket or boom. Never carry passengers unless the machine is specifically designed and authorized for it. Use the seat belt while operating the JCB. Exercise extra caution near electrical lines, underground pipelines, cables, structures, and excavation edges
Good to have
Skilled in operating JCB/backhoe loader in different plant conditions. Good understanding of excavation and material-handling operations. Ability to operate front loader and backhoe attachments effectively. Knowledge of safe operation on uneven ground, slopes, and restricted areas. Basic knowledge of hydraulic systems and equipment troubleshooting. Ability to identify and report mechanical/hydraulic defects. Knowledge of daily equipment inspection and preventive maintenance requirements. Good coordination with Fleet, Automobile, Maintenance, Civil, Operations, and Safety teams.
