About this role
Manage overall plant operations, production, maintenance, quality, safety, and manpower.
Plan and achieve daily, monthly, and annual production targets.
Monitor plant performance, productivity, production cost, and operational efficiency.
Coordinate with Production, Maintenance, Quality, Stores, Purchase, HR, and Safety departments.
Ensure optimum utilization of manpower, machinery, raw materials, and other resources.
Implement preventive and corrective maintenance plans to minimize downtime.
Ensure compliance with quality standards, safety procedures, and company policies.
Identify operational problems and implement effective corrective actions.
Monitor production losses, wastage, breakdowns, and process improvements.
Prepare and review plant MIS, production reports, and performance dashboards.
Develop and implement cost-reduction and productivity-improvement initiatives.
Lead and motivate plant employees and ensure proper manpower deployment.
Conduct regular plant inspections and ensure housekeeping and 5S standards.
Coordinate with senior management regarding plant performance and operational issues.
Required skills
Strong plant operations and production management skills. Leadership and team-management abilities. Production planning and resource management. Knowledge of maintenance and industrial processes. Cost control and productivity improvement. Problem-solving and decision-making skills. Knowledge of 5S, Kaizen, TPM, Lean Manufacturing preferred. Strong communication and coordination skills. Good knowledge of MS Excel and ERP/MIS systems.
