About this role
We are looking for an experienced E&I Electrician to handle electrical and instrumentation maintenance activities in a power plant. The candidate will be responsible for maintaining electrical equipment, control systems, field instruments, panels, motors and plant electrical systems to ensure safe and reliable plant operation.
Required skills
Strong knowledge of industrial electrical maintenance. Knowledge of power plant electrical systems. Basic knowledge of instrumentation and control systems. Ability to troubleshoot electrical faults. Knowledge of motors, starters, MCC/PCC and switchgear. Ability to read electrical drawings and wiring diagrams. Knowledge of electrical safety and LOTO procedures. Willingness to work in rotational shifts.
Good to have
Perform electrical maintenance, inspection and troubleshooting of power plant equipment. Maintain motors, MCC panels, PCC panels, control panels, transformers and switchgear. Carry out installation, testing and maintenance of cables, cable trays, junction boxes and electrical connections. Attend electrical breakdowns and carry out corrective maintenance. Perform preventive and routine maintenance as per maintenance schedules. Work on sensors, transmitters, switches and field instrumentation. Assist in calibration and checking of basic pressure, temperature, level and flow instruments. Troubleshoot control circuits, relays, contactors and electrical protection systems. Read and understand electrical drawings, wiring diagrams and control schematics.
