About this role
Responsible for mechanical maintenance, troubleshooting and equipment reliability in DRI/SID plant operations. The candidate will handle preventive, predictive and breakdown maintenance of critical plant equipment and ensure maximum equipment availability with minimum downtime.
Required skills
Strong knowledge of DRI/Sponge Iron mechanical maintenance. Knowledge of Rotary Kiln & Cooler equipment. Experience with gearboxes, bearings, couplings and drive systems. Knowledge of conveyors, crushers, screens, feeders, pumps, fans and blowers. Good troubleshooting and breakdown-handling ability. Knowledge of preventive/predictive maintenance. RCA and failure analysis skills. Ability to read mechanical drawings. Knowledge of basic hydraulic and pneumatic systems. Good team coordination and manpower handling. Knowledge of industrial safety, PTW and LOTO
Good to have
Hands-on experience in DRI/SID/Sponge Iron Plant. Experience in rotary kiln maintenance and shutdown jobs. Knowledge of kiln alignment, tyre/roller inspection and drive systems. Experience with heavy-duty material handling equipment. Exposure to condition monitoring and predictive maintenance techniques. Ability to work in rotational shifts and emergency breakdown situations.
