About this role
Responsible for managing RMP shift operations and ensuring smooth, safe and continuous handling and feeding of raw materials for DRI/SID plant operations. The Shift Incharge will supervise manpower, equipment performance, material flow and shift-wise production activities.
Required skills
Strong knowledge of Raw Material Processing (RMP) operations. Experience in DRI/Sponge Iron/Steel Plant environment. Knowledge of crushers, screens, conveyors, feeders, hoppers and belt systems. Good understanding of raw material handling and feeding systems. Strong shift management and manpower handling skills. Breakdown coordination and troubleshooting ability. Good communication and coordination with Production & Maintenance teams. Knowledge of SOP, 5S, PTW, LOTO and industrial safety. Ability to prepare shift reports and production MIS. Willingness to work in rotational shifts.
Good to have
Experience specifically in DRI/SID RMP operations. Knowledge of iron ore and coal handling systems. Experience handling high-capacity conveyors, crushers and screening systems. Knowledge of material feeding and weighing systems. Experience in shift production planning and equipment coordination. Good leadership and decision-making skills.
