HOD MECHANICAL DRI

Lead and manage the Mechanical Maintenance Department of the DRI plant. Plan and supervise preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance activities. Ensure reliable operation of DRI equipment and mechanical systems. Monitor maintenance of kiln, cooler, conveyors, feeders, blowers, fans, pumps, gearboxes, hydraulic systems, compressors, and material-handling equipment. Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules to minimize equipment breakdowns and downtime. Analyze recurring equipment failures and implement Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and corrective actions. Plan and execute major shutdowns, annual maintenance, overhauls, and equipment erection/commissioning activities. Coordinate with Production, Electrical, Instrumentation, Projects, Stores, and Safety departments. Manage manpower, contractors, spare parts, tools, and maintenance budgets. Ensure availability of critical mechanical spares and maintain proper inventory levels. Monitor equipment performance, maintenance KPIs, downtime, MTBF, and MTTR. Ensure compliance with plant safety procedures, SOPs, statutory requirements, and work-permit systems. Lead and develop a team of engineers, supervisors, technicians, and maintenance workers. Prepare maintenance reports and provide regular updates to senior management.
