Environment Manager

Ensure compliance with applicable environmental laws, permits, and statutory requirements. Manage environmental activities across the steel plant, including air emissions, water, wastewater, solid waste, hazardous waste, and pollution control systems. Monitor and control emissions from DRI, induction furnace, EAF, rolling mill, power plant, and other plant operations. Coordinate with State Pollution Control Board (SPCB), CPCB, and other regulatory authorities. Maintain environmental records, registers, reports, and statutory documentation. Ensure timely submission of environmental returns, consent-related documents, and compliance reports. Monitor operation and performance of ETP, STP, ESP, Bag Filters, Scrubbers, Dust Collection Systems, and other pollution-control equipment. Conduct environmental audits, inspections, risk assessments, and compliance reviews. Implement measures for waste reduction, water conservation, energy efficiency, and pollution prevention. Handle environmental inspections, notices, and compliance requirements from regulatory authorities. Prepare and review Environmental Monitoring Reports, compliance reports, and MIS. Coordinate with production, maintenance, safety, and engineering teams to maintain environmental standards. Train employees on environmental procedures, waste management, and pollution-control practices.
