About this role
To lead the laboratory operations and quality control team, ensuring accurate chemical and physical testing of raw materials (coal, iron ore, quartz, manganese, scrap), in-process samples (liquid steel, slag), and finished products (ferroalloys, pig iron, MS ingots, billets) to meet national and international quality standards.
Required skills
Advanced Instrument Operation: Hands-on mastery of high-end analytical equipment, particularly Optical Emission Spectrometers (OES), Carbon-Sulfur Analyzers, X-Ray Fluorescence (XRF), and atomic absorption units. Metallurgical & Slag Chemistry: Deep understanding of ferroalloy grading, slag basicity calculations, liquid steel composition control, and raw material evaluation (for alloys like Ferro Manganese, Ferro Silicon, Silico Manganese, or sponge iron/steel raw materials). Testing Methodologies: Proficiency in both instrumental and classical wet chemical analysis, physical testing, and microstructure examination (where applicable).
