About this role
To create, update, and manage precise engineering drawings, plant layouts, structural details, and piping/electrical schematics using AutoCAD for plant maintenance, expansions, and ongoing infrastructure projects.
Required skills
Technical & Software Skills Software Mastery: Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD (2D) and working knowledge of AutoCAD 3D. Familiarity with specialized tools like SolidWorks, STAAD.Pro, or AutoCAD Plant 3D is a major plus. Blueprint & Technical Reading: Strong capability to interpret rough site sketches, civil foundation notes, structural fabrication drawings, and P&ID (Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams). As-Built Documentation: Expertise in updating master plant drawings to reflect real-time modifications, structural additions, and equipment relocations on site. 4. Core Competencies & Soft Skills Dimensional Accuracy: Exceptional attention to detail and precision to ensure fabrication and construction drawings match exact field specifications. Spatial Visualization: Ability to translate complex 3D physical plant structures into accurate, readable 2D layouts and sectional views. Cross-Functional Coordination: Good communication skills to interact seamlessly with Civil, Mechanical, and Electrical HODs to capture design changes quickly and effectively.
