Required skills

Furnace Electrical Systems: Deep expertise in managing heavy-duty Submerged Arc Furnace (SAF) transformers, tap-changing mechanisms, high-ampere busbars, and electrode regulation control loops. HT/LT Switchgear & Substation Operations: Hands-on proficiency with High Tension (HT) and Low Tension (LT) power distribution, Vacuum Circuit Breakers (VCB), Air Circuit Breakers (ACB), and numerical protection relays. Heavy Industrial Drives & Motors: Advanced maintenance, overhauling, and troubleshooting skills for large 3-phase induction motors, cooling tower pumps, and material handling conveyors. Control Systems & Schematics: Ability to read and interpret complex electrical single-line diagrams (SLD), control schematics, and PLC-based panel wiring. 🧰 2. Diagnostic & Troubleshooting Skills Critical Fault Isolation: Rapid identification and resolution of severe electrical failures, short circuits, phase drops, and earthing faults under high-pressure shift conditions. Testing Equipment Mastery: Expert usage of advanced multimeters, high-voltage insulation testers (Meggers), earth resistance meters, and protective relay test kits. Preventive Maintenance Planning: Ability to execute scheduled maintenance overhauls to eliminate recurring breakdowns and maximize plant uptime. 🛡️ 3. Safety & Leadership Skills Strict LOTO & Safety Compliance: Rigorous execution of Lock-Out/Tag-Out (LOTO) protocols, safe isolation of high-voltage networks, and verification of zero energy state before servicing. Mentorship & Team Coordination: Guiding assistant electricians and ITI trainees on safe shop-floor practices and complex troubleshooting techniques. Logkeeping & Handover: Maintaining precise shift maintenance logs, breakdown registers, and coordinating seamlessly with production supervisors.
