About this role
Breakdown & Preventive Maintenance: Attend urgently to electrical breakdowns on the CCM floor (withdrawal units, mold oscillation, dummy bar systems, and torch cutters) to prevent liquid steel delays.
Drive & Panel Troubleshooting: Maintain and troubleshoot Motor Control Centers (MCC), relay logic panels, AC/DC drives, and Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs).
Control & Sensor Diagnostics: Inspect, test, and replace faulty limit switches, proximity sensors, rotary encoders, solenoid valves, and safety interlocks.
Schematic Reading: Efficiently read and interpret electrical circuit diagrams, panel drawings, and logic control prints for quick fault tracing.
Safety & Compliance: Strictly adhere to plant electrical safety standards, LOTO (Lockout/Tagout) procedures, and use required PPE in a high-temperature SMS environment.
Required skills
Puller & Withdrawal Unit Drives: Troubleshooting and maintenance of AC/DC motors, drives, and gearboxes that control the withdrawal speed of the steel strand. Oscillator Drives: Working with servo drives, stepper motors, or mechanical-electrical oscillators that control the oscillation of the mold to prevent steel from sticking. Roller Table & Conveyor Controls: Maintaining drive panels, sensors, and proximity switches for run-out tables, cooling beds, and torch cutting units.
