Sample & Experiment Support: Prepare, label, and process samples; set up experimental setups; assist with conducting tests and experiments.
Equipment & Maintenance: Clean, maintain, and calibrate lab equipment and glassware; ensure instruments are in working order.
Inventory & Supplies:
Conduct stock checks, maintain inventory, manage chemical stores, and order supplies
Required skills
Wet Chemical & Instrumental Analysis: Proficiency in classical wet chemical analysis (titration, gravimetric analysis) alongside modern instrumental techniques such as: XRF (X-ray Fluorescence Spectrometer): For rapid elemental composition screening of raw materials and alloys. OES (Optical Emission Spectrometer): For precise determination of elements (Mn, Si, C, P, S, Fe, etc.) in ferroalloy samples. Sample Preparation & Fire Assaying: Expertise in proper sample collection, crushing, pulverizing, drying, and flux fusion to prepare homogeneous samples from heavy raw material yards or molten metal pin samples. Specification Compliance: Ability to cross-verify test results against internal quality parameters, Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS), or international export standards.
