About this role
Weighbridge Operations:
Weigh incoming vehicles (Tare Weight) and outgoing loaded vehicles (Gross Weight) accurately using computerized weighbridge software.
Generate and print precise Weighment Slips (containing vehicle number, party name, material type, net weight, etc.).
Ensure the weighbridge platform is clean and report any technical faults or calibration errors immediately.
Data Entry & Record Management:
Enter all vehicle transaction data accurately into MS Excel, internal ERP, or specialized weighbridge software.
Prepare and maintain the Daily Dispatch Report (DDR), inward/outward registers, and stock movement logs.
Reconcile physical weight records with system logs at the end of each shift.
Documentation & Verification:
Verify transport and statutory compliance documents, including E-Way Bills, Lorry Receipts (LR), Delivery Challans, and Gate Passes.
Ensure proper sign-offs and stamps on documents before releasing vehicles from the plant/site.
Coordination & Safety:
Coordinate smoothly with truck drivers, security personnel, and the Loading/Dispatch Incharge to prevent traffic congestion at the weighbridge.
Adhere strictly to plant safety standards, wearing required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) while working around operational zones.
Required skills
1. Core Logistics & Dispatch Operations Skills End-to-End Dispatch Management: Complete ownership of dispatch cycles from raw/washed coal stock allocation to final truck/rake loading, exit verification, and gate pass generation. Weighbridge Management: Supervision of computerized gross and tare weight measurements, preventing pilferage, handling weight discrepancies, and ensuring accurate weighbridge-to-ERP integration. Fleet & Turnaround Time (TAT) Optimization: Managing transport vehicle queues, coordinating with transporters and drivers, and minimizing turnaround time for tippers, hyvas, and railway rakes (siding operations). 2.
