About this role
Manage day-to-day store and warehouse operations.
Receive, inspect and maintain records of incoming materials.
Prepare GRN, material receipt and material issue documents.
Maintain stock levels and ensure proper material storage.
Issue raw materials, spares, consumables and other items as per approved requirements.
Conduct regular physical stock verification and reconciliation.
Maintain minimum/maximum stock levels and identify slow/non-moving items.
Coordinate with Purchase, Production, Maintenance and Accounts departments.
Update inventory records in ERP/SAP/Tally and prepare stock reports.
Ensure proper identification, stacking, preservation and housekeeping of materials.
Follow company safety and inventory-control procedures.
Required skills
Inventory Control & Stock Management: Expertise in maintaining optimal stock levels, conducting regular physical stock audits (cycle counting), and minimizing shrinkage, damage, or stockouts. Receipt & Dispatch Management: Efficient handling of inward material inspection, verification against purchase orders (POs), proper binning/tagging, and dispatch documentation (E-way bills, delivery challans, gate passes). Material Handling Knowledge: Familiarity with storing specialized industrial goods (such as steel shots, steel grits, heavy raw materials, or engineering spares) safely and systematically.
