About this role

Monitor quality standards throughout production processes. Conduct raw material, in-process and finished-product inspections. Ensure products meet required specifications and customer requirements. Maintain quality inspection reports and documentation. Coordinate with Production, Maintenance and Laboratory teams. Identify quality deviations, defects and non-conformities. Implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA). Monitor process parameters and quality test results. Support quality audits and customer inspections. Analyze quality issues and assist in root-cause analysis. Ensure compliance with applicable quality procedures and standards

Required skills

Dimensional & Visual Inspection: Hands-on ability to use precision measuring instruments (vernier calipers, micrometers, height gauges, ultrasonic thickness gauges, and weld gauges) to verify component dimensions and tolerances. Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) Familiarity: Knowledge or certifications (such as ASNT Level II in UT, MT, PT, or RT) to interpret or coordinate non-destructive testing on structural welds and steel plates. Weld Quality Control: Deep understanding of welding inspection standards (AWS D1.1, ASME Section VIII/IX), checking for defects like porosity, undercut, lack of fusion, or crack formation. Blueprint & Drawing Interpretation: Ability to read complex engineering drawings, fabrication details, Bill of Materials (BOM), and client specifications.
