About this role
Manage day-to-day store and warehouse operations.
Receive, inspect and record incoming materials.
Maintain GRN, material receipts, issue slips and stock records.
Ensure proper storage, identification and handling of materials.
Maintain minimum/maximum stock levels and avoid stock shortages.
Issue materials to Production, Maintenance and other departments.
Conduct physical stock verification and reconciliation.
Monitor slow-moving, non-moving and obsolete inventory.
Coordinate with Purchase, Accounts, Production and Maintenance teams.
Maintain accurate inventory records in ERP/SAP/Tally.
Prepare daily/weekly/monthly stock and inventory reports.
Ensure proper housekeeping and safety within the store area.
Required skills
Stock Auditing & Reconciliation: Conducting regular physical stock counts (cycle counts), reconciling physical inventory with system ledgers, and minimizing discrepancies or stock shrinkage. Storage Optimization: Efficiently managing storage yards and warehouses (handling heavy structural steel, plates, machinery spares, and consumables) using proper categorization, racking, and bin location systems. Inventory Control Techniques: Practical understanding of inventory management methods such as FIFO (First-In, First-Out), FEFO, and setting up minimum/maximum stock reorder levels.
