SHIFT INCHARGE

A Shift Incharge oversees all daily operations, staff coordination, and workflow execution during a specific work shift in manufacturing, production, logistics, or retail environments. They act as the primary bridge between front-line operators and senior plant or store management. Job Summary The Shift In-Charge is responsible for maintaining uninterrupted workflow, meeting productivity or output targets, ensuring safety compliance, and managing team performance during their assigned shift hours. Key Responsibilities Operations & Production Execution: Supervise daily shift activities to ensure targets and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) are met. Monitor machinery, equipment status, and raw material flow to minimize downtime. Coordinate with maintenance, quality control (QC), and logistics teams to clear bottlenecks. Team & Manpower Management: Allocate daily tasks, manage staff attendance, and set duty schedules. Train, mentor, and support new operators, helpers, or shift personnel. Handle team discipline, resolve internal conflicts, and maintain high morale.] Safety & Quality Compliance: Enforce health, safety, and environment (HSE) protocols, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Conduct routine safety checks and report workplace incidents or deviations. Monitor product or service output quality to ensure company standards are consistently met. Reporting & Handovers: Maintain accurate shift logbooks, production reports, and performance KPIs. Conduct a thorough written and verbal shift handover with the incoming Shift Incharge.
