About this role
An electrician installs, maintains, and repairs electrical power, lighting, and control systems in residential, commercial, or industrial buildings.
Core Responsibilities
Installation: Set up wiring, conduits, circuit breakers, lighting fixtures, and control panels.
Diagnosis & Repair: Troubleshoot electrical malfunctions using testing devices like multimeters and oscilloscopes.
Blueprint Reading: Interpret technical diagrams, schematics, and architectural plans to map out electrical layouts.
Code Compliance: Ensure all work adheres to local, state, and national safety and electrical regulations.
Maintenance: Perform routine inspections on transformers, motors, and distribution boards to prevent downtime.
Required skills
Education: High school diploma or equivalent, plus a vocational diploma, technical certificate, or electrical apprenticeship. Licensing: Valid electrician license or certification (such as Apprentice, Journeyman, or Master Electrician depending on experience level). Skills: Proficiency with hand and power tools, strong problem-solving abilities, physical stamina, and attention to detail
