PRODUCTION HEAD FOR FERRO

A Production Head (or Head of Production) directs and oversees the entire manufacturing, assembly, or operational production cycle to ensure output targets are met on time, within budget, and to quality standards. Role Overview The Production Head sets the strategic direction for plant or facility operations, managing cross-functional teams, large department budgets, and continuous improvement programs. This executive- or senior-level role bridges upper management goals with daily plant-floor execution. Key Responsibilities • Strategic Planning: Develop long- and short-term production schedules aligned with sales forecasts, customer demand, and material availability. • Budget & Cost Control: Manage departmental budgets, track production expenses, and implement lean manufacturing or cost-saving measures. • Quality Assurance: Enforce strict quality control standards, lead root-cause analyses for defects, and comply with industry or safety regulations (e.g., ISO, OSHA). • Team Leadership: Supervise plant managers, production engineers, and supervisors; oversee hiring, performance reviews, training, and shift staffing. • Equipment & Maintenance: Oversee preventive maintenance programs to minimize machine downtime and approve equipment upgrades or purchases. • Cross-Functional Coordination: Collaborate with procurement, logistics, human resources, and sales to streamline workflows and resolve bottlenecks. • KPI Tracking: Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to run speed, output, waste reduction, and safety, reporting metrics directly to executive leadership.
